Celebrate!

Yesterday the Florida State Advertising Club hosted it's first marketing communications internship fair.

I remember having lunch with Jeff at the beginning of the semester and mentioning the possibility of an internship fair. I guess I thought it would be an easy thing to do, but I had no idea!

Long story short, I owe a lot to my exec board. Becky, Vanessa, Liz and Rachel all banded together and helped me plan and realize this fair in less than a month.

It was a huge success and I am very proud of us! It all made me think of the importance of celebrating.

Yes, finals are on the horizon but that's no excuse not to celebrate! I'm determined to find time for us to get together and celebrate a successful semester.

I feel like we have come such a long way since we were voted into office back in February. I know I have grown professionally and as a leader. I can certainly say that I'm more familiar with my strengths and weaknesses.

Celebrations are an amazing team building opportunity. It's important to make sure people can look back with a positive attitude on what might have been some particularly stressful times.

Lose an annoying client? CELEBRATE TWICE!

Whatever the situation is, if you have people excited about something then capitalize on it. It's an opportunity to build stronger bonds and look back with the right mindset.

Catch Your Limit celebrates and that's something I love about this place. When you have a celebration you go ring the bell at the bar and then run (or walk) around the office telling everyone the good news.

Think about it. Then, next time your team reaches a milestone - celebrate!
